The Impression

I acted as art director and stylist on this brief for print publication The Impression. The brief was to recreate an iconic moment from cinema.

The small editorial is based on the movie The Shining, where the twins in the hallway have become some of the most well-known characters in the cinema and beyond.

The challenge of casting the perfect identical twins as well as a location suited for the project demanded thorough research and determination. Sourcing and pulling the looks that fitted the brief was especially demanding because of the size of the models, them still being children. Ultimately, the girls ended up in beautiful styles from Danish design darling Cecilie Bahnsen and Ukrainian designer Marianna Senchinan.

The result is an homage to the cult movie, fulfilling the brief with a romantic and scandic-noir twist. Art direction by me & Kia Hartelius. Styling by me. Photography by Kia Hartelius.
